Beaches Energy Customers Get Paid to Conserve
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL -- If someone living at the Beaches has been looking to start conserving energy at home, there is now another good reason to do it. Power company Beaches Energy is paying customers to conserve through rebates. "They're designed primarily just to help our customers do the simple things in their home and make a big difference in their electric bills," says Glenda Wagner with Beaches Energy. Beaches Energy will give rebates credited to customers' utility bills if they make energy-saving upgrades at their homes. If someone is a landlord and makes the upgrades, Beaches Energy will cut them a check. For example, a new heater or air conditioner earns a $300 credit, fixing leaking ductwork is worth $150 and installing an energy-saving window coating gets you a $100 credit. "Many of our customers have been asking us questions about it; we have them calling, we have contractors calling," says Wagner. A customer taking advantage of every rebate could earn as much as $1,675 in credits. For more details on the rebates visit the Beaches Energy website.
