Enjoy Your Father's Day Weekend in Harford County

Father and Son Sitting on a Hammock

This weekend, whether you’re the father being celebrated or you’re spending time with your dad, we hope you have fun. Spend some time outdoors, eat some awesome food or snuggle up with your favorite little person and a good book. Here are some local events and ideas to help you enjoy your weekend:

Step Outside

It’s supposed to be pretty mild with a lot of cloud cover Saturday, so it may be a great time to visit the Bel Air Farmer’s Market on Bond Street with the family. You can buy produce, beef, chicken and pork….everything you need for a Father’s Day barbecue! They’re open from 7 a.m to 11 a.m.

Does your dad like art? Take him to the Fun in the Sun Craft and Vendor show at the Bel Air armory from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For lunch or dinner Saturday, head over to John Carol School for the Bel Air Greek Festival. They’ll have yummy greek food, spirits, and amusement for the kids. It runs from noon until 10 p.m, and opens back up on Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m.

Stay Inside

If you prefer to do something in the air conditioning with your kids on Saturday, get to Bel Air Barnes and Noble for Father’s Day story time from 11 a.m. to noon. They’ll be reading “When Dads Don’t Grow Up.” (We’re sure some of you dads will be able to relate to this book.)

Another place for cool indoor family fun on Saturday is Steppingstone Farm Museum in Havre de Grace. Your little girl will love it if you join her for Father’s Day tea from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Settle in At Home

Dads these days are busy. If you have free time this weekend to sit in the air conditioning, watch a baseball game on TV or wrestle with the kids, go for it. It’s your day and you deserve to enjoy it however you choose.

Happy Father’s Day, from all of us at One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning!
