The quality of air that you breathe in your home, at the office, and when you are outdoors can have a significant impact on your health. At Duggan’s One Hour, we are committed to helping our customers improve the indoor air quality in their home even if they don’t have much control over the quality of air that they breathe in when they are out and about.

Study Finds Pollutions Takes Lives

A study published in the journal of Environmental Research Letters recently found that air pollution claims over 2.1 million lives every year. These deaths are caused by anthropogenic increases of fine particulate matter, also known as PMI2.5. East Asia is one of the areas of the world that is most affected by poor outdoor air quality. The researchers that conducted this study found that more than one million people die annually from being exposed to PMI2.5 pollution, and over 200,000 more from ozone pollution. The study discovered that India came in second in terms of the greatest number of pollution related deaths. Trailing close behind India is Southeast Asia and then Europe. In the United States, companies like us have worked hard at improving air quality and health. Even if you can’t prevent the health effects of being exposed to poor air quality outdoors, you can prevent harmful health consequences by improving the indoor air quality in your home.
