How Zoned Heating Systems Work
Taking a zonal approach to heating gives you the option of enjoying different temperatures in different areas of your home or business. This technology is available for structures with existing forced-air HVAC systems and as a new heating installation as well.
For structures with existing ductwork, dampers are installed in the ducts to control the airflow directed into each zone. These systems are available in two to eight zone configurations. Each zone is equipped with its own thermostat. A central control panel allows for remote operation of all the zones.
Zoned Heat Pump Systems
American Comfort’s One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to offer the industry’s first integrated control panel, zone technology developed specifically for high energy-efficient heat pump systems. Zoned heat pump systems are also available for homes and businesses without ductwork. These systems use individual air handlers to deliver conditioned air to each zone.
Ductless systems are ideal for areas where installing ductwork isn’t feasible, such as in an enclosed porch, garage or workshop.
