What Is a Dehumidifier?
Dehumidifiers make the air dryer by pulling humid air over cold coils, which turns the humidity into water that either collects into a drain or an in-unit basin. While portable dehumidifiers must be emptied by hand, whole-house humidifiers can empty collected water into a floor drain with a hose.
Dehumidifiers are extremely helpful because the significantly contribute to your home’s health and safety. For example, it treats respiratory infections, allergens, the growth of microbes and fungi, as well as warped flooring, and pests.

“I can't say I'm very happy with the service I received. What should have been a straightforward installation of new airflow components and a baffle ended up dragging out for over a month, with repeated delays and missed appointments.
Initially, the tech told me they'd arrive first thing in the morning—but they didn’t show up until noon. I informed them I had to leave by 3:30 PM and was assured the work would only take a couple of hours. At 3 PM, I had to go, and the tech said she would return to finish the job—only that didn’t happen for another week and a half. While the work she did was solid, it seems she left the company before completing the job. Another tech eventually came out just to inspect her work, but not to install the final piece, which delayed things yet again.
When the final baffle was installed, everything seemed fine—until less than 72 hours later, when the baffle got stuck, cutting off airflow to the upstairs. I called early in the morning and was told I'd be on "standby" with an ETA between 8 AM and 5 PM. It was the hottest day of the year, and while I understand the backlog, I had just had work done days earlier. I wasn’t prioritized and had to wait until 6 PM for a supervisor to arrive. He confirmed the baffle hadn’t been installed correctly and fixed it—but less than 24 hours later, the air wasn’t routing downstairs.
Once again, I called and was told the earliest they could send someone was the following afternoon. After paying over $2K and waiting a month for the work to be completed—while dealing with missed appointments and poor communication—I was still being pushed to the back of the line for problems clearly tied to their own installation.
To add to the frustration, I joined their monthly service plan expecting better support, but since then, it feels like I’ve been getting the runaround. It’s definitely not “One Hour” service once you sign up. They’ve promised to escalate the issue with dispatch, but at this point, I’ve lost confidence in the company. This is not the level of customer service I expected, especially after such a large investment.
**Update** they did come out and verify the issue wasn't related to their previous work. Tech arrived early, was very helpful and professional and provided me with some options on how to proceed with my old system.”

“Eric the technician from One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning responded immediately to my frantic call for help when our A/C stopped working in July. He came to our house three hours later, at 8pm on a Friday, replaced two A/C components including the condenser, cleaned the buildup of gunk from the coils that we had never cleaned in 6 years, and got the whole system running again perfectly — all in about 40 minutes. We are very grateful for the emergency service, and for his tips on what to do next and the prognosis for our system. Highly recommended.”

“Tyler brown was absolutely fantastic. I called them at 6pm on a Friday and he had a few stops ahead of me but he still made it work and got me back up and running with AC after being in my attic until about 11pm. The commitment this company has to taking care of their customers is unmatched. I'll be calling them back out for the additional maintenance and repairs that I still need soon. Thank you again for doing such a great job and taking care of us.”

“Jacorey did a superb job. He was prompt, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Any and all questions I had were answered. It made the whole process a lot more comfortable without feeling pressured to pay for things we didn’t need. He did fantastic work taking care of some insulation and explained the whole process of fixing the issue with our AC unit. Sergio and his co-worker did a phenomenal job. They were on time, quick, and had excellent craftsmanship with their work. We had a new drain line installed and it has been a huge upgrade now that the drain pan can work properly due to their work.”

“I don’t believe I have ever left a google review but I had to because it was my first time using One Hour AC Repair today and it was a great experience from beginning to end. The young lady who took my intake call was friendly very professional (I forgot her name). And my repairman Austin was amazing. From the moment he arrived, he was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and confident. He took the time to explain what was wrong with my unit and then explained it again when my husband got home. Along with the great service, the company was very transparent with the pricing so I didn’t feel like I was being price gauged. I liked them so much I even joined the maintenance plan. I definitely recommend.”
