HVAC installation prices to rise because of steel tariffs.
As Hampton Roads’ most trusted heating and air conditioning partner, we want to be transparent about looming effects of the recent steel and aluminum tariffs. For the first time in years, HVAC equipment suppliers are increasing prices mid season.
The increased cost of materials greatly affects many industries, including manufacturing and construction across the country. As a result, many manufacturers are forced to raise prices on equipment, according to the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. Having to pay more for raw materials to construct HVAC supplies causes the additional costs to be passed on to consumers. If the cost is too high, consumers may opt to repair rather than invest in a new, more efficient system.
“We don’t plan to adjust our prices until we have to,” said Todd Kletz, owner and general manager. “If you’re on the fence about replacement, I encourage you to consider doing it before an increase comes into effect.”
We stand by our dedication on the Hampton Roads community and want to ensure everyone understands the local impact of the steel and aluminum tariffs. If you have any questions, please call (757) 656-3023.
