One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning® of Hampton Roads

History

Classic Air Care, Inc. began September 1st of 1979 by Alan Heckel and Todd Kletz, with one goal: providing heating and air conditioning customers of Hampton Roads with timely and exceptional service.

For two decades, Classic Air Care assisted customers all over the Southside of Hampton Roads with residential HVAC installation and repair. We grew exponentially, as did our reputation. By the time co-founder Alan Heckel retired, The Virginian Pilot recognized us as, “Best at the Beach.”

We were just getting started. As Todd took over sole ownership, we expanded our service area, answering calls throughout the Peninsula.

In 2004, Classic Air Care joined One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in order to improve and expand our service to include all of Hampton Roads. Entrepreneur Magazine had recognized them as one of their, “Top New Franchises” due to their explosive growth, exceptional organization, and commitment to serving customers on-time.

1 Hr HVAC did not schedule my spring check up until I called about their monthly charge for such service. They also didn’t call me 20 minutes before the technician arrived as I requested. So they get 3 out of 5 stars for scheduling and admin support. But I want to give 5 out of 5 stars (or even more if possible) for the service that their HVAC technician Jay Len-Ivey provided. Ivey was very polite and personable. He seemed thorough in his work, accommodated small adjustments needed that prevented bigger issues in the future like:putting screws to the furnace door so it isn’t loose and expose furnace flames next to the water heater and he put tape around an open cable in the outside unit so water won’t leak in. Ivey also was thorough in explaining all the items on his checklist He ensured he cleaned up behind him. He was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable.

I normally do not leave reviews but my tech today did an outstanding job. First, Wayne was very courteous young man. He provided excellent service and made sure my unit was up to code. Anything that needed attention, he took the time to make sure I understood the information he provided. He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions It is great to see someone take pride in the work they are doing and wanting the Customer to be satisfied with the company's service. Our technician, Ronnie, was amazing! His attention to detail was great to see. He took the time to explain what he was doing and any questions or concerns we had. I would recommend him and One Hour’s services to family and friends. Ronnie was able to fix our issue right away. He showed me what the problem was, explained what it was. It has been great to see him grow with the company. Every time he services our home, we always feel we are in great hands!
