In the last 24 years, he managed various heating and air and electrical companies, as well as owned and sold a successful homebuilding business. He has sound business management skills and concerns himself with delivering legendary service to his clients, while also providing optimum benefits for his employees. Through all his success, Jim states that his greatest joy is his wife, Holly, and their three children.

He graduated from Catholic High School in 1967 and earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from LSU in 1972. Brigham went to work for Trane until 1980. Returning to his roots, he opened River City Air Conditioning and has been serving the Baton Rouge area ever since. Today, working alongside his stepson, Jim Wilson, he currently is Chief of Operations for his core, family business, River City’s One Hour Air. Brigham prides himself on providing world-class home service and repair for his longstanding, loyal clientele.

Melisa Scott Install ManagerRead BioMelisa Scott Install ManagerMelisa is the infamous wife of Kelly Scott and a key asset to our One Hour family. In 1992, she aided her husband of 34 years with opening their own Heating and Air Company and began running the business full-time in 1999 until merging with One Hour in 2016. The most important thing working for ROHAC has shown her is how cost and value go hand in hand. Melisa has also held roles as a Human Resources Director for a local hospital for 14yrs, a Louisiana State Board member from 2010-2014, office nanny to Matt Rick’s son Samuel, and her favorite role – “Mawmaw.” Melisa would like to end her biography with an in-remembrance to her brother Robert, who passed away in 2013 of ALS – he was a true man of God, her closest friend, and one of her greatest blessings and inspirations.

Shane Richard Call Center ManagerRead BioShane Richard Call Center ManagerAt 23, Shane Richard is our youngest, but one of our most productive managers. He started his One Hour Heating and Air adventure as a part-time college job, but within a year he advanced to his current title of Nighttime and Weekend Manager. He’s also the creator of our Employee Recognition System and employee training system. Shane channels his inspiration for greatness from his idols Arnold Schwarzenegger and Derek Jeter. His favorite things to do outside of work are play trivia at the Chimes on Highland every Monday as a dedicated member of the Devout Quiztians and bring his beautiful girlfriend, who also works for OHAC, coffee every day.

Matthew Rick General and Service ManagerRead BioMatthew Rick General and Service ManagerHVAC work is truly Matt’s passion. At the age of 13, Matthew Rick started working with his grandfather in the Heating and Air Business business. Matt started working for One Hour as a service technician over 10 years ago; he held the title of Top Customer Service Technician for many years. Now, as the General and Service Manager, Matt is hard-pressed in making sure that all employees provide each customer with the highest quality experience. Matt has been a strong hand in helping develop and advance the company’s protocols, standards, and core values. Matt says that no matter what his title here is, his favorite title of all is the one he most recently received – “Dad.”

Kelly Scott Service ManagerRead BioKelly Scott Service ManagerFor the past 30 years and counting, Kelly Scott has dedicated himself to providing top-notch HVAC work for South Louisiana residents; his motto being, “If you cannot service your customer properly, someone else will.” Kelly moved to Louisiana with his mom, a proud member of the United States Army, at the beginning of his high school days. During that time, he picked up a part-time job at a small, local A/C and Heating Company. From there he moved on to opening his own business in 1992 and later merged his HVAC family with ours in March of 2016. His favorite thing about working for One Hour is the readiness of resources and people to learn, grow, and teach. When he’s not roaming about the office making classic dad jokes, Kelly can be found in his garage tinkering with classic cars. His favorite? The 72 Ford Torino.

James Ward Service ManagerRead BioJames Ward Service ManagerFrom the first moment he can remember, James Ward has always been a part of the HVAC industry. He started working with his family’s Heating and Air company from the time he was strong enough to carry a tool bag through technical college. He has received certifications from the North American Technical Excellence Program (NATE), the Building Performance Institute (B.P.I.), and three from the National Comfort Institute (N.C.I.). In the ongoing 4 years that he has graced us with his expertise, he says that the biggest lesson our company has taught him is that the better a company treats its employees, the better the employees will treat the customer. His life motto? “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.”

Jason Gerard Project SupervisorRead BioJason Gerard Project SupervisorA native Denham Springs, Jason Gerard is back to the HVAC industry; his previous HVAC experiences involved working on Commercial Ductwork with his brother-in-law. Retiring from his 20-year career as a cell tower engineer, Jason came to One Hour Heating and Air beginning of 2017 looking for a new, challenging change of pace. His favorite thing about working for One Hour is how immediately the company embraced him as part of the team and accepted him and his family as part of theirs. Gennifer Constant Accounting ManagerRead BioGennifer Constant Accounting ManagerFor 5 years now Gennifer has played an imperative role in our One Hour Heating and Air family. Gennifer is our go-to person for any questions we have regarding our company insurance, history about the company, advice about life, and, of course, all things accounting. She is also the person we can count on the set things straight when something goes amiss. When she’s not at One Hour, Gennifer enjoys riding the Harley with her husband and spending time with her two daughters. Gennifer says she enjoys accounting because it’s all one giant puzzle. She states, “It’s the most satisfying and accomplishing feeling when you finally solve the puzzle.”

Sadie Scott Parts ManagerRead BioSadie Scott Parts ManagerIn 2012, Sadie Scott started her HVAC career working with her in-laws Kelly and Melisa Scott. Since working with One Hour, Sadie has worn many hats, but being the Parts Manager has been her favorite. Sadie and her family are native to the Gonzales area. Much like her in-laws, Sadie enjoys working on custom cars or going to car shows with her husband and their two children. In her free time, Sadie also loves to cook; it’s especially great when she brings the leftovers to the office for all her coworkers to enjoy. Sadie says that her favorite thing about working for One Hour is her coworkers because they are more than just people she gets along with at work, but friends she enjoys hanging out with outside of work as well.
