Richard Ross is the rare exception of heating experts that both knows what he is doing, exceptionally honest, and best price . My Navien combi-boiler was making whistling and screeching noises and shutting off. Two other different certified trained Navien technicians were paid to service my boiler prior to him, but could find nor fix the issue prior to this. I was told to replace the unit instead of fixing it by the last technician. In the process of getting additional quotes for a new one three other techs looked over the unit carefully, 2 of the 3 saying they also work on this brand, and quotes for a replacement. Other techs said this unit was missing required parts to meet code that were actually there. Only this knowledgeable technician, also a certified Navien representative, gathered the information and called the manufacturer for tech support before trying to replace a unit just 6 1/2years old. Within an hour he fixed an issue without the need of parts but a mere resetting a switch that had eluded others. He fixed what so many others missed and saving me from having to replace the unit like the previous 4 insisted was the only option. He will come back soon for a cleaning and updates to condensation water system. I am so pleased to come across someone more knowable and honest than the five before him. On top of his prompt service his entire fee was far more reasonable than the two who did nothing to fix the issue. Its a great feeling when you call for emergency furnace service and your issues are resolved within hrs. They also required me to put on a mask in our home for his safety.
