Originally from Carterville, IL, Ariah joined Pass One Hour in 2023 and is currently responsible for dispatching technicians to customers’ homes. The people she works with and a healthy work/life balance are her favorite parts of the job. 

In her free time, Ariah loves to read, play Dungeons & Dragons, and spend time with animals – especially her cat, Mel. If she could travel anywhere, she would visit Japan or Rome. She never leaves home without her card, keys, Chapstick, and phone, and says a biography about her life would be titled: “Hot Mess Minus the Hot.

Hailing from Cypress, IL, Amber came to Pass One Hour in 2023 after working as a medical assistant. She soon found herself surrounded by a great team and a family atmosphere. She appreciates how others listen to her ideas and consider her to be a valued member of the team. 

Amber’s typical day begins with taking care of her four dogs and making coffee before heading to the Big Yellow Shop. At work, she is responsible for answering phones, scheduling, and following up on sales calls.

In her free time, Amber loves reading (and listening) to books and considers herself a fast reader. If she could have dinner with anyone, she’d choose authors Adrianna Locke and Aurora Rose Reynolds. She would also invite her Grandpa Lewis, who she frequently walked with to the local gas station as a child to get a soda and candy bar.

One of Amber’s proudest accomplishments has been being able to support herself while also helping her parents. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would enjoy going to Germany, and the title of her biography would be “The Crazy Gains and Downfalls.

Hello, my name is Amanda! I absolutely love watching baseball, and is by far my favorite sport. I believe Thai food is the best, and I am very fond of cats and dogs. The hobbies I enjoy the most are reading and hiking, and something interesting about me is that I have 3 family pets, 2 cats named Mariah and Whitney, and 1 dog named Olive.

Hello, my name is John and I joined the Pass One Hour Family in 2021. I enjoy watching movies and playing video games as well as being outside. My favorite food is from the Phillipines, and is called Lumpia. I love watching football, and my saltwater fish tank. One thing that is interesting about me is that I was born on an Air Force base out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on an island called Azores!

Originally from Marion, IL, Jeff started working at Pass One Hour in 2013 after previous stints in landscaping and road construction. He begins each day by putting on his uniform, drinking some coffee, helping his daughter get ready for school, and grabbing his trusty flashlights before leaving for work. He also believes that Pass One Hour’s roots as a family business is the company’s greatest strength.

Some of Jeff’s favorite memories from his childhood come from vacations with his grandmother, and his most prized possessions are his sports cards.

Nathan’s career at Pass One Hour began in 2020 after a decade spent working as an avionics tech in the Navy. His favorite part about the company is its family-friendly environment, and he believes teamwork to be its greatest strength.

Nathan’s mornings include caring for his dogs and chickens and eating a hearty breakfast. He then grabs his thermostat-screwdriver and keys and heads to work where he runs service calls, diagnoses problems, and provides timely solutions.

Some of Nathan’s fondest memories growing up involve fishing, and he’d love to visit Alaska someday.  One of his proudest life moments was the day he joined the Navy.

A Marion, IL native, Ricky joined the Pass One Hour team in 2022 after previously working as an auto parts manager. He appreciates how everyone in the company treats one another like family, and he’s learned the value of asking for help when needed.  

If Ricky wrote a book about his life, he would title it: “Normal.” Some of his fondest childhood memories are of family dinners, and if he could travel anywhere in the world, Ricky says he would go back home. He considers himself to be a good farmer, and he loves cars, naming his 2015 Chevy Camaro as his most prized possession. One of Ricky’s proudest moments was when he earned his degree

Scott came to Pass One Hour in 2019 after leaving his job as a pizza delivery guy so that he could attend college to become an HVAC tech. Working at Pass has taught him to always remember that customers’ time is valuable.

In high school, Scott was an athlete on the basketball court. So it’s no surprise that his dream dinner companion would be Michael Jordan. He’d also invite Tom Brady and Elon Musk to dine with them as well. Scott’s motorcycle is his most prized possession, and he would love to someday go fishing in the Amazon River.

Before joining the team in 2022, Colten worked at Pepsi for five years. When he decided it was time for a change of scenery, a friend recommended Pass One Hour, and the rest is history.

Each morning, Colten wakes up at 6am and gets his kids ready for school before heading off to the Big Yellow Shop. His work takes Colton to customers’ homes all over southern Illinois, and he makes sure every system is in working order before he leaves. He loves how friendly the company is to their staff and customers, and he believes the respectful and supportive atmosphere is one of Pass One Hour’s biggest strengths.

A fun fact about Colten: he is a surprisingly good cook – especially with a grill. And if he could travel anywhere in the world, he would go to France.

Theo came out of retirement in 2022 to join the Pass One Hour team and has since learned many skills of the trade. He believes that the company’s greatest strength is its family-based structure, as they treat everyone – customers and employees – like family. His favorite part about the job are his co-workers.

Theo typically starts his days with a workout and some coffee, followed by feeding his dogs and fixing his wife breakfast. He never leaves the house without his license and some money, and says his truck is one of his most prized possessions. One of his proudest achievements was when he bought his first house.

Theo has fond childhood memories of getting together with family for a fish fry every Friday, and if he could have dinner with anyone, he’d choose his mom, grandmother, and Uncle. Given the opportunity to travel anywhere, he would visit Japan. Theo’s hidden talent is playing the piano, and he would title his biography “Go With the Flow.

A southern Illinois native, Ryan has been with Pass One Hour since 2019. After stints in fast food and home delivery, he decided to invest in himself by going to school for HVAC. That led to his new career with Pass, where he is now responsible for managing and training service technicians as they grow in their abilities.

Before coming to work each day, Ryan’s mornings are spent getting his kids ready for school. He never leaves home without his thermostat-screwdriver and a positive attitude. Once he arrives at the Big Yellow Shop, he reviews the previous day’s calls and makes sure the team is ready for that day’s work. Over the years, Pass One Hour has taught Ryan to take his time and listen to customers so that he can serve them to the best of his abilities. He believes this to be the reason for Pass’s 50-plus years in business. 

A few more facts about Ryan: He loves to cook and was born with only one kidney. One of his fondest childhood memories was a two-month family vacation to Alaska when he was eight. If given the choice today, he would love to visit Australia. Ryan’s most prized possession is the flag given to him at his father’s funeral, and if he were to write a book about himself, it would be called “Overcoming the Odds.

Hello, my name is Trent and I joined the Pass One Hour family in July of 2024! My favorite animals are dogs, and I am always up for a good slice of pizza! The sport I find most entertaining is football, and whenever I get the opportunity, I like to get out and travel. One thing about me that not everyone knows is that I am a great shot with firearms.

Hi, my name is Aidan and I joined the Pass One Hour Family in the winter of 2024! I love football, and I enjoy spending time gardening. My favorite animal is cats, and my favorite food is Tortellini. Hello, my name is Noah and I joined the Pass One Hour team in April 2025. I enjoy spending time outdoors fishing, hiking, and kyaking. The food dish I prefer the most would have to be the pork tenderloin, and my favorite animals are cats and dogs. When I'm not spending time doing carpentry or traveling, I'm working on getting my commercial pilot certificate. Something interesting about me is that I am currently in the Air National Guard and am a private pilot.
