“They were able to come around my schedule. Christian made a point of giving me all details and choices of how much I wanted to do to get my heater working. He explained everything and was very efficient while working and made a point of making sure he didn't do anything to get my carpets dirty.”

“We called Casteel to help us figure out what was wrong with our basement heating unit. We knew upfront that the cost was $90 for someone to come out. We were then told it would be another $285 for the technician to do a leak test even though we told him where the leak was. We agreed to both of these costs. He said Casteel "was not in the business of repairing coils" but they would give us a quote if we wanted one. He then told us the cost to repair the coils would be approximately $6500 (even though the coil was still covered by Trane's warranty) or we could replace the unit for approximately $15,000. Mind you, we have lived in this new construction, custom built home for 5 years. When I asked about this unit being so new, he told me "It's mechanical and mechanical things break." We were put off by the astronomical quote, the attitude and the feeling that we were getting scammed to some degree. We took the quotes and told him we were going to check with other companies. We got a referral to a smaller company, Henson Mechanical out of Monroe, Ga. They are a smaller, family owned business. We explained what we learned from Casteel, but we did not tell them what they wanted to charge us. Henson did not charge us to come out to our home, they did not run another test, and they were very responsive to our questions. The owner of Henson came out himself (arrived around 8:15 in the morning) and said he didn't need to run a test; he said he could see where it was leaking without a test. He gave us a quote of $2700 to replace the coils. Since the unit was still under warranty, Mr. Henson went out to Duluth, picked up the warrantied part, and had his guys replace the coil all by 3:00 that afternoon. The two men from Henson that fixed our heater were professional, polite, and knew what they were doing. To say our experiences with the two companies are night and day would be an understatement. We literally spent less than half of the repair price given to us by Casteel for the same work. We even signed up for Henson's annual maintenance plan for $225 per year, and we still were less than half of Casteel's original quote. Please do not use Casteel. They are overpriced and put their financial gain before their customers. We will continue to use smaller, family owned businesses like Henson Mechanical whenever possible. We could not recommend Henson Mechanical more, and we are thankful for the referral to them. You get people who care with better customer service and cost. Thankful we were smart enough to get a second opinion!”

“Michael was great. He came out at the last minute to tune up our furnace and a/c unit. Our furnace is 15 years old and has a humidifier that's never worked well, if at all. He got it going w a simple adjustment. There's also a seperate filter for the humidifier part of the furnace. I didn’t know that. Apparently neither did the half dozen guys we've had over the years who came out and did a reported inspection and cleaning. Ive lived in my house for over 10 years so you can imagine how disgusting that filthy old filter was! We've even supposedly had the humidifier "worked on" a couple times. Michael spotted it right away. He was thorough and took his time, which we appreciated.”

“Really appreciated David coming out and not only fixing the pro,but also recommended another size of air filter. The service was reasonably priced, I'll be using this company in the future instead of another local service.”

“From start to finish, our technician Jammie was outstanding. Not only told me what was going on, she showed me. Explained everything coherently and in terms I could understand. Her work was flawless and she presented multiple options for the problem, along with a professionalism that was second-to-none. She provided answers to every question, never complained, and was comfortable and confident in her abilities to get us back up and running. I would call her again for anything HVAC related and would recommend her and One Hour with my highest appreciation. A job well done that exceeded every expectation in my more than 20 years as a homeowner.”
