Our team takes a different approach to team building. We curate our expert technicians of the future, through the “each one teach one” dynamic, also known around town as our Charlotte AC Apprenticeship Program. Recently Charlotte Business Journal featured us for our unique take on building a strong, reliable and dedicated team of professionals.
WHAT IS OUR CHARLOTTE AC REPAIR APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM?
The concept is simple, yet effective. In addition to pairing our new service technicians with veteran employees to better familiarize them with the level of service we provide, we also provide four months of classes to provide our technician hopefuls with an in-depth educational foundation of HVAC systems, best practices and much more.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We break up the training process to join our ac repair company into two phases. The first kicks off in every October includes the educational portion of our training. Students work in a workshop consisting of several systems set up for hands-on work, in addition to in-classroom examinations we conduct. The second phase of our Charlotte ac repair apprenticeship program Apprenticeship Program starts includes shadowing our veteran techs into the field. Here they are allowed to observe and get field experience under close watch.
Although we don’t pay for classroom time, students who graduate get $1,500 in HVAC repair and installation tools so our newly certified techs can hit the ground running.
WHAT’S THE VALUE OF THIS PROGRAM?
Our program’s graduates start at $40,000 a year with a lot of room to quickly grow! In addition to this, graduating from our program gives you the opportunity to work at other One Hour franchise locations around the country! We want your techs to do what they love, where they love.
We are thrilled that Charlotte Business Journal took a moment to recognize a program that our ac repair company is passionate about. Skilled trades are a professional arena that is not recognized as often as it should, based on the rewarding opportunities that are passed up every day! There’s nothing wrong with working with your hands to help people stay safe and live comfortably in their home.
